Tourism in Praia do Rosa is essentially related to the nature: the beauty of the beach, the many lakes and the rare beauty of the ecological tracks.  There are also sites of ancient carvings & scriptures, not to mention the quality of waves to surf.  These are just some of the things that encourages, not only the relaxed vibe of the beach, but also the trekking and horse ridding through the tracks leading to beaches around.
At Night, the gastronomy is the main attraction, offering a variety of high standard restaurants (including two with the Guia 4 rodas Stars) and bars full of ‘the beautiful people’.
The surrounding area offers many leisure options, starting with visits to the neighbouring beaches like Garopaba, Ferrugem, Silveira or Ibiraquera, excursions to the Historical centre of Laguna (40km) or to the Lighthouse and beaches of Cabo de Santa Marta (50km).  Other good leisure options are to practice sandboarding in the Siriú Dunes or to visit the Encantada Waterfall (15km) and Zanella Waterfall (30km), located in the Serra do Tabuleiro National Park.  The town of Garopaba (14km), with the colourful historical centre and good shopping is another destination that shouldn’t be missed.
Between July and November, the presence of the Right Whale becomes the main tourist attraction in Praia do Rosa.  These huge docile animals that can reach 18 meters and 60 tons, go to the beach in search of the bay’s protection.  They are looking for a safe place to rest and feed their babies, before making the trip back to the Antarctic.  The whales can also be watched in organized boat trips with biologists from the Right Whale Institute.  Such trips can be booked with the official operator of Praia do Rosa Tradetur, Turismo Vida Sol e Mar.
